Group Analyst and founding director of Leo Weisz
Janos trained at the Institute of Group Analysis, London. For seven years, he participated in the Dangerous and Severe Personality Disorder Program building a Medium Secure Forensic Therapeutic Community.
Currently, Janos is facilitating Group Analytic and Individual Psychotherapy, as well as Staff Support groups and also offering supervision. He has experience working with people of enduring and severe mental health issues in groups. Janos offers support for frontline public and private sector workers, keeping teams together or with those who are experiencing symptoms of burn-out.
Janos is a tutor of different psychotherapy trainings, past and present. He is teaching in seminars at the Tavistock-Portman forensic training and the Institute of Group Analysis. Recently he was a visiting lecturer of the Greenwich University’s postgraduate training and Queen Mary University’s Wolfson Institute MSc course. Prior to his training as a Psychotherapist, he enjoyed a career as a nurse and paramedic.
BSc Psychology; MSc Psychodynamics of Human Development
Sarah is an experienced and passionate Psychotherapist who has worked with children, adolescents, and adults in multiple NHS settings, such as forensic and general in-patient units for the majority of her career. Alongside this, she has practiced within the community, serving out-patient units in North London.
Following a BSc in Psychology, she completed a MSc in the Psychodynamics of Human Development with Birkbeck University of London, and then a further Psychotherapy Training with the British Psychotherapy Foundation, London. Although Sarah is trained within the Psychoanalytic tradition, her therapeutic practice is drawn from a range of other psychological approaches including Mentalisation-based Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy.
Sarah is a member of the The Neuropsychoanalysis Association and has a special interest in the dialogue between psychoanalysis, neuroscience, and the application of psychoanalytic insight into the domains of Art, Film, and Culture.
Associate and Individual Psychotherapist
Ivor is a Psychotherapist working one-to-one with individuals and within therapy groups at the Community Psychotherapy Network and within the NHS. His counselling background includes practicing within the charity sector and a wide range of private and public organisations, from first to third sector settings. His experience as a therapist have granted Ivor with an interest to work with individuals who may be experiencing addiction, racial trauma and personality problems.
He has also gained experience in various forensic settings where his expertise has been widely used. Ivor is an experienced group facilitator with an in-depth and personal understanding of issues relating to racial injustice and how to work with diverse groups therapeutically, often within non-clinical environments such as housing and different workplaces.
M. Inst. Group Analysis; Addiction Dip, BSc (Hons)
Mayer is a registered Psychotherapist offering individual and group long-term Analytic therapy. He additionally provides short-term focused therapy for individuals in recovery from alcohol, substance misuse, or other addictive disorders. He has an Honours Degree in Addiction Counselling from the University of Bath and has gained extensive experience as an addiction counsellor in private, charity, and third sector settings. For the past six years, he has been training as a Group Psychotherapist at the Institute of Group Analysis in London, and he is an Honorary Group Psychotherapist at the City & Hackney NHS Mental Health Trust.
Mayer's therapeutic approach focuses on assisting individuals who have experienced early-life developmental trauma and challenges to develop a sense of belonging and to build healthy relationships with themselves and others. He is passionate about the compassionate, attentive and effective nature of psychotherapy, especially in helping people overcome deeply ingrained emotional difficulties and repetitive patterns.
Mayer is registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and is soon to be accredited as a full member of the Institute of Group Analysis (IGA). In addition to his work at Community Psychotherapy Network, he provides individual and group therapy sessions in private practices in North and East London.
Associate and Individual Psychotherapist
Adelaide is a Psychotherapist based in London. She has a BSc (Hons) degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of Bristol, and a PgDip in Contemporary Psychotherapy from Beeleaf Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy. Alongside this, she works at the Anna Freud Centre, managing a project that aims to radically improve the help young people receive following traumatic events and experiences.
Adelaide has worked with organisations such as HSBC and the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change settings to increase understanding of mental health in the workplace. She continues to deliver talks and workshops to corporations.
Adelaide's extensive training allows her to provide both short-term and long-term therapy for a wide range of difficulties from low self-esteem to trauma and loss.
